Free instructions: Spring Bumblebee Bracelet

Make your own crystal charms and adorn our ready to wear charm bracelet with cute bumblebees and spring leaf charms.

This bracelet is deliciously tactile and a joy to wear. Catch the little bees dancing around your wrist amongst your sparkling crystal bead charms. We a chose a fresh spring colour theme, but we have many other crystal beads to browse if you fancy choosing your own colour way (47 to be exact!)

Our charm bracelet is 8.5" long, using cutters, we removed some links to shorten it to 7.5" The ingredients list is to adorn a 7.5" bracelet

Materials Needed

20 x 6mm Preciosa Crystal bicone beads:

(5 x Peridot crystal bicone beads CPB650520,

5 x pink sapphire crystal bicone beads CPB670220,

5 x Aqua Bohemica crystal bicone beads CPB660010,

5 x violet crystal bisone beads CPB620310)

1 x charm bracelet BRCSP

5 x Tiny bee charm MT1CJ

5 x decorative leave charm MT1DZ

20 x head pins HPSP

10 x 5mm jump rings JR5SP

40 x 2.4mm metal beads MTEA2431

Tools Required

1 pair of side cutters BEESC

1 pair of chain nosed pliers BEECN

1 pair of round nosed pliers BEERN

Beading Matt - not essential, but very useful! BMT2

Instructions

1. Thread one metal bead, one crystal bead, one metal bead into a head pin (photo 1)

2. Using your side cutter trim the head pin 8mm above the last metal bead (photo 2)

TIP: Keep your head pin off cuts, you will need one to make a jump ring for your necklace. They are handy to keep for future projects to make into more jump rings, or eye pins!

3. Using chain nosed pliers fold over the top section of the head pin (photo 3)

4. Use round nosed pliers to turn a neat loop to finish one crystal charm (photo 4)

5. Repeat these steps until you have 20 crystal bead charms (or however many you would like) (photo 5)

6. Lay out your charm bracelet, remove links if required/necessary. Using chain nosed pliers, open up your jump rings, and use them to attach your charms. The charm bracelet is made up a sequence of one large link, one small link, one large link etc. We chose to position our charms on every other large link (photo 6)

7. Use your chain nosed pliers to open up the loops on your crystal bead charms, we chose to put two crystal bead charm on each large link - in between the link with the charms already on (photo 7) Repeat until you have attached all your crystal bead charms where you would like them!
