Free Instructions: Stardust Earrings


Follow our simple step by step instructions to make your own pair of stardust dangly earrings. These beaded earring feature a gorgeous glittering stardust glass bead (which we think looks like a planet), a sparkly star charm, and a pretty crystal stud.  Create the same earrings as us, or use our design as a starting point, and develop our design more, and choose your own charms, or beads!  Designing and making your own jewellery is the best! 

 

 

Materials needed 

2 x 8mm glass beads, we used dotty stardust beads - ( GLUR13 )
1 x pair of crystal stud and backs ( STU05 )
2 x eye pins ( EPSP )
2 x crystal star charm ( MT1FTSP )
 

Tools Required

Side cutters (BEESP)
2 x chain nosed pliers ( BEECN )
Round Nosed Pliers ( BEERN )
Bead Mat - not essential but very handy! ( BMT2 )
Instructions
1. Take one of your eye pins, thread one bead onto it, using chain nosed pliers, fold your wire over as close to the top bead as possible to form a right angle (photo 1), make sure the fold / wire lines up with the existing loop on the end of the eye pin
2. Using side cutters, trim the wire  8mm mm along from the fold ( photo 2 )
3. Using round nosed pliers turn a neat loop ( photo 3 )
4. Using chain nosed plier, open up one of your loops, thread on one of your star charms, close the loop neatly ( photo 4 )
5. Using chain nosed pliers, open up the other loop, and thread your crystal stud onto it, making sure that the crystal is facing the same was as the crystal star, close the loop ( photo 5 )
6. Repeat all the steps again to make a matching pair.
