Free Instructions: Skull Drop Earrings
Who says skulls are scary? These skulls are 100% stylish! If skulls aren't for you...just swap them out for a different type of feature bead!
Materials Needed: Glass skulls ( GLUZ) , Silver plated ear wires ( LBWSP), Silver plated headpins ( HPSP), 2.3mm metal beads (MTEA2431).
Tools Needed: Side cutters (BEESC), Round nose pliers ( BEERN), Chain nosed pliers (BEECN)
Instructions
- Take two head pins. Thread two metal beads, one skull bead, ten metal beads. Repeat for your second earring (photo 1)
- Use your side cutters to trim your headpins 8mm above the last beads you threaded. It is important the head pins are trimmed to exactly the same length (photo 2)
- Use chain nosed pliers to fold the headpin, so it's about 45 degrees from the beady part of the headpin. Be careful not to ned the beady part of the headpin while you are doing this (photo 3)
- Using round nosed pliers, turn neat loops on each of your earrings (photo 4)
- Using chain nosed pliers, open the loop you made in the previous step, and attach an ear wire onto each earring. Close the loop again (photo 5)
