Free Instructions: Birthstone Crystal Pendant

Learn how to make this super stylish pendant, featuring a sparkling little crystal bicone for a subtle flash of colour. We used a 5mm Preciosa Crystal bicone, choose between our 43 different crystal colours, or learn which is your birthstone for a more personal element, or of course you can choose a bead of your choice. We made our necklace in silver plate, but it would look fabulous in gold plate too! We have listed all the gold plated and silver plated findings below..... 

Materials needed:

1 x open circle link ( MTELSP )

1 x head pin ( HPSP )

1 x 5mm Preciosa Crystal

Tools Required

A pair of side cutters ( BEESC-1 )

A pair of chain nosed pliers 

A pair of round nosed pliers 

Instructions

1. Thread your bead onto one headpin, move it to the bottom of the head pin. Use side cutters, trim the headpin 8mm above the bead (photo 1 )

2. Using chain nosed pliers, fold the head pin over to a 90 degree angle, the fold as close to the top of the bead as possible (photo 2)

3. Using round nosed pliers, turn a neat loop (Photo 3)

4. Using chain nosed pliers, open the loop you just created, link on to it your open circle link,, and your chain, close the loop ( photo 4 )

You're finished!
