Instructions

1. Get your beads ready! See the above links for the beads we used
2. Take a 70cm length of S-Lon, thread 1 metal bead, 1 plastic bead, 1 metal bead, 1 polymer clay bead. This is the sequence we continued to thread our beads in (photo 2)
3. Continue threading your beads until you have it the length you require, we made ours 16 inches long . End with one metal bead (photo 3)
4. Take a calotte, and thread it onto one end of your S-Lon, making sure to thread through from the outside of the fold in the metal (photo 4)
5. Tie an overhand knot in your thread, tie another over hand knot over the top (photo 5)
6. Trim your thread tail approx 3mm away from the knot (photo 6)
7. Push your calotte along the thread, so the knot tucks inside it, using chain nosed pliers, gently close the calotte over the top of the knot (photo 7)
8. Make sure the beads are snugly positioned next to each other, so they cover the thread. Repeat steps 4 - 7 for the other end of your necklace. As you're tying your knot, before you tighten your knots, use a needle to guide the knot to the correct position (photo 8)
9. Using chain nosed pliers, open a jump ring, use it to attach the trigger clasp to the loop on on of your end calottes. Repeat at the other end of your necklace, with your extension chain (photo 9)
You're finished!
