Free Instructions: Cute Creatures

Make your own cutie creatures out of pipe cleaners and wooden beads, a perfect half term holiday craft project, or Halloween activity....or both! 

Meet the creatures that we made, and read our tips and tricks to give you some ideas to what you could make...

Materials needed:

Unvarnished wooden beads ( WDCA ) we have sizes 6mm to 40mm! 

We used 8mm ( WDCA8 ) and 18mm ( WDCA18 ) and 35mm ( WDCA35 )

Our wooden beads have holes big enough to thread pipe cleaners through. You can pass up to three through!

Twist the pipe cleaners around each other to create fun shapes

Create lovely spirals with pipe cleaners by winding them around a pencil..

Our wooden beads are unvarnished, so they are ready to decorate with felt tips, paints or sharpies. We used acrylic paint pens to create fun expressions! 

Take the end of your pipe cleaner, and roll it up to create flat spirals..

Create a 'bottom' with a  flat spiralled pipe cleaner so your bead can sit upright

The ends of the pipe cleaners can be a bit 'pokey' make sure the ends are all tucked in. All beads, pipe cleaners and scissors must be used with adult supervision.
